industry and terminology research
What are your rates?
The rates for translation are usually calculated on a per word basis according to the source document. The rate for transcreation, localisation, proofreading, Powerpoint or web translations is calculated based on an hourly rate card; the total price will depend on the complexity of the documents. Project-basis or retainer fees are possible for longer term initiatives. Please note that ad-hoc translations are paid upfront.
How do you calculate the word count?
We use specialist software, including MS Word.
How long will it take?
The daily output is approximately 2,000 words per day. We will give you an estimated delivery time with your quote.
What is the translation project process?
Once we have been commissioned for the translation project and have your written approval, we will start the research process, which covers industry and terminology, this will be followed by the full translation. Once the document has been reviewed, we will send it to you. Note that each project requires a workflow that includes and is not limited to discussing your needs, terms extracting and research, text segmentation and preparation, translation, followed by consistency, grammar and spelling checks, proofreading and testing. If you have any questions or comments on the translation, please email us or call us back within 7 days so that we can assist you.
What information do you need?
To allow us to deliver a high quality translation, it would be helpful to get an understanding of your company, your goals for the translation and your target audience. We also ask for a point of contact in case of any questions.
How can I be assured of the quality?
We only work within our specialist industries and we strive to deliver quality work on time and on budget.
